2005

June Save time, not steps!  Don't drive in circles looking for the parking spot closest to the door.  Take the first one you see and walk.
August Gardening can be exercise. With a push mower you'll save money, save the environment, mow quietly AND get some exercise.  Or were you saving those calories for a rainy day?
October It's fall.  Your yard is full of leaves.  This is a moment for...EXERCISE!! Get out the rake. (And give away your leaf blower).
December Forget the snowblower.  Shovelling burns 420 kcal/hour.   And they're your own.  What else were you going to do with them anyway?

February
Planning your vacation? Why not pick something both fun and active this year? Cross country skiing, swimming, hiking, tennis, golf...the choices are endless. And you'll come back with energy to spare.
April Too tired to exercise? Most people feel energized rather than exhausted by regular physical activity.
June
Spend some time digging in the dirt.  Gardening is creative, relaxing, and it counts as exercise to boot.
August Walking is good exercise that is easy on your body.  You can do it anywhere, anytime.
October
Take a lunch break and go for a walk.
December Thinking about swimming?  Good choice.  It's good for the heart yet easy on the joints.

February
Looking for an outdoor activity that will give you a great workout without giving you a chill?  Have you tried cross-country skiing?  It is a perfect Manitoba winter activity.
April "Normalize" exercise. Give it a place in your daily routine.
June It's time to "spring" into action.  Whether you like gardening, rollerblading or golfing, there is a world of activity just warmed up and waiting for you.
August Summer is a great time for outdoor activities, but don't overdo the sun.  Remember your hat, shirt and sunscreen.
October Autumn is a beautiful season to cycle.  It's also a great family activity.
December Want to make sure you get in your walk each day?  Buy a dog...or borrow a dog.

June Planning a vacation?  Why not hike or bike your way through the summer?

February Walking is Canada's favorite physical activity.  All you need is boots...and mitts...and a warm coat.
April
Ready for gardening? Do your raking, digging and shovelling by hand.  It's good for you and your environment.
June
Time on sale!  If drive to work = 20 minutes and bike to work = 30 minutes, then your half-hour of exercise costs only 10 minutes!
August
Bike to work!  It's good for your heart...good for your soul!
